Fitness Friday...Best Body Bootcamp Wrap-Up

It is hard to believe that 8 weeks have just about gone by!!  It always amazes me how quickly time can pass...especially when I am working!  When I started Tina's Best Body Bootcamp, Aubrey was 2 months old and I was just getting back into really exercising after a C-section.  Tina's Bootcamp came at just the right time for me!  Here are some reflections from these past 8 weeks:
  • I have lost 10lbs total in the 8 weeks but my clothes reflect a higher loss.  I unfortunately did not do measurements because I feel like they would have really shown a difference.  That's right!  I can use my fancy gloves that I had promised myself after 10lbs!
Hubby gave them to me for Valentine's Day but I haven't allowed myself to wear them until I      hit my mark!
  • The cardio/interval workouts are kicka$$!  They have replaced my speedwork lately and have really helped me get some speed back!  I look forward continuing to do these workouts and see how my speed continues to increase.
  • Strength has gotten me back on track as well!  I love how they are quicker workouts that don't take hours but still have me feeling the burn!
  • I'm starting too to see a few ab muscles (mostly when I try posing in the mirror!) thanks to the core workouts woven through the weeks!  I can feel my core getting stronger which has been a concern for me after having my second C-section.
My biggest impact is something that can't be measured with a scale or measuring tape...my confidence.  I have struggled after this pregnancy to get back the confidence I had in my body and seeing myself as an athlete again.  I not only felt doughy but honestly embarrassed about what was staring at me in the mirror.  Tina's Best Body Bootcamp has helped me to start to feel like that athlete again!  After each workout I can feel myself getting stronger and stronger!  Do yourself a favor and check her out!!
Have you ever done Tina's Best Body Bootcamp? Have you had a time when you struggled to feel strong again after a pregnancy or injury?

  5. Glad you are gaining your confidence back! It is so hard to like what is in the mirror after a baby, I can't imagine being one of those people that just doesn't do anything about it. Great job on all your hard work and motivation and yay for ab muscles!

  7. That is so awesome, especially about building confidence post-partum. I had the hardest time after both of my pregnancies and it took me a long time to feel like myself again and like an athlete. BBB is no joke! So awesome that you've seen so much progress.
