Monday Motivation...#BestRun

I'm linking up today with Miss Zippy and Pavement Runner to reminisce my #BestRun...you know that one that sticks with you that has you chasing it for runs to follow....that run where it all just clicks and you even forget your running!  I do have to say that since having Aub 5 months ago that these runs are few and far between but I then thought about this quote from Kara Goucher (who I CAN'T WAIT to see running past me in Boston next week).
Before having Aub I can remember runs when my sleepy Cape had started to show signs of Spring...the lilacs were in bloom and the ocean was fresh!  I remember thinking that this was all I needed....I was truly blessed! (little did I know what was still in store!)  Post baby runs for me are hard...getting my mind and body to work together has proved a challenge but I can remember vividly on a run back in February when it just clicked with me...running through my neighborhood I just knew that life was wonderful.  It isn't always the easiest but it's mine and I love it!

What about you?  Can you put your finger on your best run? workout?
Get out there and chase it...chase it down and grab hold!
Life is waiting and it's great!

  1. This quote is so true! It's not in a race, but it might be a day that seems ordinary- until you run. Or when you run down the road here in the late winter/ early spring and see new lambs. It makes you pause, in your mind, and feel content.

  3. Love the quote. I love lilacs too in the spring amd we have wild plums here too that smell heavenly, I love running by them. Running does tend to remind me how blessed I am with my life.

  6. Love Love Love this quote!! Couldn't be more true :). I didn't run before Mommy-hood so I can't remember a time when my runs weren't carved out from a very tight schedule and obligations! I almost wish I had so that I would appreciate it even more!

  8. That's a great quote..so true. It is so great when a run just clicks. If only we could figure it out, maybe they would all be the best. But then we wouldn't have anything to measure the best by!

  11. One of my best runs was in the rain with a good friend. It was my first 15K. I'll always remember it:)

  12. Ah running outside is one of the best feelings ever! Love the feeling that seems to last forever after a good run! Just had an amazing run yesterday. For me, seeing others outside being active in the beautiful weather is the best motivation. It just makes me want to go join them!
