I love you!!!
(Boy do my eyes look tired!)
I was laughing to myself this morning as I was speeding to work about how much I rely now on my daily coffee to wake me up and get me going. Never before have I been a coffee drinker until I went back to work when Em was 7 months old. I was working full time, teaching at a college part time, getting my CAGS degree, working out to get rid of the oodles of weight I had gained, oh and being a wife and mom!! My amazing friend Carrie offered to bring me a coffee one day on her way to work. Well the rest is history!!! I haven't started many days since then without my daily jolt (Long run days I have Red Bull...easier on the belly go figure!)! I tried a few times and the headache that ensued was HORRIBLE!!! I guess for now I am hooked unless some divine intervention gets me unhooked!! What about you:
Are you a morning joe person? How have you kicked your coffee habits?
I'm completly a morning person. I usually get up at 6 or 6:30'ish without an alarm. Me and coffee don't get along. I can't stand the taste of it. I've tried different one's to. Like latte', carmel mocha, all that fancy stuff but I will just have to stick with hot chocolate on a cold morning.
ReplyDeleteNever been a coffee drinker, BUT I crack open a Coke first thing every morning. Every. Morning.
ReplyDeleteAnd did I mention, it's full strength? No Diet or coke Zero or any other fraud; I need my Coke full strength :)
I would probably go through terrible withdrawals and likely find myself institutionalized!!!!
I am so in love with coffee! I can't function without it and the only time I gave it up was when I was pregnant...the first time. The second time I cut back to just one cup a day. This is funny you posted this because I just saw an article about how drinking 4 cups of coffee a day reduced your risk of breast cancer by 38%. If that is true I am going to say my boobs are pretty safe.
ReplyDeleteI can't live without it in the morning! I prefer it all jazzed up and even chocolatey...but black is just fine most mornings. I used to hate the bitter taste, but now I crave it!
ReplyDeletehahaha. ahhhh. i love this post. i have never been a coffee drinker but since i have been trying to apply for internships and still keep up my daily workout routine/work/school...i just feel more stressed. for some reason coffee seemed like the logical choice to fill that stress. it all happened after visiting my fam though...they are HUGE coffee drinkers. i think it rubbed off on me while i was there ;)
ReplyDeletehi. my name is B.o.B. and i'm a coffee-aholic.
ReplyDeleteHI B.O.B.!
lol
I so need my coffee in the morning - it's just not pretty for any one around me without it! LOL! I have done a couple of cleanses where I've given it up for a week or two, but I admit, it was brutal!
ReplyDeleteI wasn't a coffee drinker until I took up running a few years ago. First it was just a sip on race day. Then it was before my weekly long run. Then it was before every run. Now it's pretty much every day, although I drink half caf on non-runnning days. I just love it but try not to drink so much that I get a headache if I don't
ReplyDeleteI can't drink coffee! Nor do I like the taste actually. It makes me sick. But let me tell you, I am definitely a tea-aholic. I drink SOOO much tea! :)
ReplyDeleteI don't NEED it (so I tell myself) but I certainly don't turn it down if it's available. AND they just brought back all the holiday creamers in the store so I'm really done for....
ReplyDeleteI've never been a coffee drinker but I love the way it smells - like home. I started randomly drinking sodas out of the blue and I need to STOP that nasty habit. But a little coffee is supposed to be good for you so enjoy!
ReplyDeleteIronically, my coffee pot wouldn't turn on for me this morning. Thankfully, I had a french press hidden in the back of my pantry. It could have been ugly around here this morning. So yes! I am a coffee girl. Although, I recently cut back to 1 cup in the morning.
ReplyDeleteIf I could put a coffee maker on my nightstand, I would. I NEED a cup in the morning, but just one. Otherwise I get the shakes: )
ReplyDeleteI must have Starbucks every morn lol. Sometimes it makes me late for work...I'd rather be late than have no coffee haha
ReplyDeleteI AM a coffee drinker... and when I am well I drink it all day long.
ReplyDeleteLately I have had the sniffles and coffee doesn't taste as good so I am drinking tea in the afternoon and evening. But ALWAYS coffee in the morning and at least one cup before bed so I don't wake up with a headache!
Yes. I'm a morning coffee person. For the most part that is the only time I drink it. I look forward to it when I wake up :)
ReplyDeleteI drink coffee every day. I see no reason not to. We all have to have our vices!
ReplyDeletei never noticed a difference with coffee waking me up or anything... i would have a mug a day just to have something to sip on at work. i quit drinking caffeinated coffee back in june when i was having heart issues, now i just have decaf.
ReplyDeleteyes. coffee. every. day.
ReplyDeleteYou should try Click....coffee and protein shake all in one!
