I then saw a group on Facebook with a great coach named Danielle that was starting a 21 Day Challenge using the 21 Day Fix made by Beachbody.
I talked with hubs and decided to join in. It comes with workouts and an eating plan to follow. It also comes with color-coded containers that help you to portion out your foods. Once you eat all your colors, your done.
I am 1 week in and I really like the program! I feel like I am gaining control of my eating again and have people to support me and answer my questions (imagine that!). The workouts aren't impossible but they are leaving me sore...which of course I love! This week I am adding in more running...and more next week as I ease back to where I was...but even after a week of just the workouts and one slip up on Valentine's Day, I was down 3lbs! I really feel though that the gain in control is what if really feeling a lot better. I was feeling so out-of-control...binging on Sunday and starting over again on Monday week after week. I'm looking forward to seeing where this week and next take me...and also going forward! I'm certainly not ready to show before and afters but I'm on my way!!
Have you ever used 21 Day Fix?
I've never used it. BUT I want to follow your progress. I might do it!!!
ReplyDeleteomg Nancy this is too funny. After stepping on the scale this morning i broke down crying bc in 2 years I've gained 18lbs. I eat healthy, found a few food intolerances and eliminated them, work out, get enough sleep but my weight is STILL going up!
ReplyDeleteI was toying with doing beach body's ultimate reset bc I did it a few years ago and lost 14 lbs in 21 days, but it is really hard. (not allowed to work out, slowly transition to vegetarian then vegan) Although it worked, I cried a few times because I just can't stomach tempeh which is on the menu a few times and i didn't know if I could make it the whole 3 weeks.
I literally just got done researching 21 day fix and decided this was more my speed and I'd be happier doing it.
I hope this works, otherwise my next step is to go to doctor to check my thyroid.
Did you take before pictures?
I'm in the same boat. My sweet snacking was out of control so I started a sugar fast for February (Valentine's not included). Just trusting myself to not need that piece of candy is SO much nicer. I feel more in control of what I eat and less like snacks are controlling me. Couple more weeks to go, but I'm thinking I'll continue the detox until Easter (turn it into a Lent thing). So far I haven't seen a scale difference, but I feel much better.

ReplyDeleteI've completed 21 day Fix! Loved it and it works! I just couldn't wrap my brain around the container eating so I was container-less 21 Day Fix :)
ReplyDeleteI have heard of it but dont know much about it. I'm using WW and been doing good. I have had 1 gain since I've been using it for a month.
ReplyDeleteWe've all been there Nancy! I think I'm currently there. Finishing up marathon training (race is next week). Once I get through the race I really need to focus and evaluate what goes in my mouth! I'm wishing you lots of luck.
