Monday Motivation

Towards the end of last week, I know that I promised a "how to get moving through the holiday season" but with all that was going on in the world it just felt fake...like I was doing exercise classes around a giant pink elephant in the middle of the room!  My motivation for you this week...and really more than just this week...is to find a way to light up someone else's life...to let your light shine so brightly that it brightens up someone's dark place.  We have an advent calendar at our house.  It's really 25 gloves strung on a string in front of our fireplace.  Usually it is filled with festive happenings for each day.  This week I'm changing it up and putting ways we can give back to others in there.
How will you brighten up someone's day?

  1. YES!!! I've started a calendar thanks to Carla, with the boys about how we can perform random acts of kindness every day. They love it and it makes me feel like I'm empowering them to do good :-)

  2. What a great idea and way to teach the kids about giving back.

  3. Great idea! I'm seeking ways to give back. I feel like that's one of the true meanings of this time of year.

  5. This totally resonates with me- I was just thinking about it yesterday out on a walk and how important it was to smile and greet each person I passed. So simple but it can mean a lot!
