What is it that you are feeling "in-between" about these days? Is it a race you've had your eye on for a while?...jumping up your weights at the gym?...trying out a new class?...well decide! Commit to it and go for it! As much as I have biting at the bit to get running again, setting out a race schedule has been much more difficult. I know I need to commit...get it on the calendar...and start training. There is no in-between!
YES!
ReplyDeleteI cringe when I hear anyone say OK ILL TRY...
So, so true! Get that calendar and pen out (or your computer!)
ReplyDeleteHey :) nice one ! I am "in-between" about starting a 'diet' aka healthy eating plan ... and not cancelling my gym contract :( sad i know ... but recently i feel like i may have turned a corner ... and may be heading in the right direction ... at last ! I always feel that there are ONLY EVER 2 KINDS OF PEOPLE in the world ... in this case ... u guys [who love exercise] ... and then my type that simply don't ... i do wish i 'craved' it as u seem to do Nancy but ... my talents must lie elsewhere :)
ReplyDeleteCouldn't agree more! If I don't sign up or create my training calendar right away, I'm not committed. I'm just coming off a big race, so in no rush to commit to anything just yet, BUT soon (wink).
ReplyDeleteI need to sign up for the 2 winter races I'm looking at - a 10k trail run and a Groundhog Day 1/2 marathon. I must be nuts to want to run that far in the snow, but I know after my half this weekend I'm going to need something on the calendar to work towards.
ReplyDeleteI recently just signed up for a Turkey Trot 5K and am currently training for that, but it took a lot of convincing myself to actually do it.
ReplyDeleteI actually have a tab open for a winter 10 miler - I need to stop hemming and hawing and just sign up!
ReplyDeleteMy husband put me on a race restriction after my Dec 7th one. HAHAHA! I signed up for way to many Oct-Dec. They all just looked so fun that I had to run them all! haha!
ReplyDeleteI am having a HARD time getting motivated to go running after work! It's dark and it's been colder and it's been windy and I am tired. and. and. and.... Thanks for the little kick in the butt!
