Admittedly, I fell hard off the healthy wagon this weekend. We had a cookout and I had a blast with our friends but I lost sight of my goals and indulged more than I should have. Last night I felt mad at myself for not having the self control that I need to have...for taking my eyes off my goal. However, this morning it is all brand new! I have a new day to make the right choices and get back on my way. The important part in this journey is not being perfect but instead not falling and staying down! Here's to a new week!!
How do you keep your eyes on your goals?
You have to treat yourself sometimes and then stay focused!
ReplyDeleteIt's a new week...time to regroup and refresh!
ReplyDeleteI think it is easier for me to stay focused if I do indulge once in awhile. I may have indulged a bit last night ;)
ReplyDeleteto get it right and fight the good fight.
ReplyDeleteI keep my eye on the goal by accepting that I'm not going to be perfect. Easier said than done :)
ReplyDeleteI stay busy. It's hard when my husband is gone (currently gone for 12 days) to not revert to old habits of munching and watching television. So I run, clean or work on a special Christmas present project. It's just about not letting my triggers come into play.
ReplyDeleteAccountability is huge for me. My sister-in-law and I are both trying to shed a few pounds so it's nice to have a person to turn to when I DO fall off the wagon!
ReplyDeleteSometimes the beating yourself up can be the worst part- you did not lose your fitness or gain 10 pounds in one indulgent weekend, right? It's just part of the healthy living journey to get off track at times, we're human, and to see even THAT as part of the process. Not a mistake to be upset about. Easier said than done. :-)
ReplyDeleteI always love the beginning of a new week!
ReplyDeleteVery nice quote. For me, I try to make lists. I think about my goals the night before and then when I wake up, I usually edit it for that day. It helps me get more done and waste less time.
ReplyDeleteI keep my eye on the final goal. I think that you just have to move on from training or eating mishaps. But you still have to stick to your plan, or it can happen again and again.
ReplyDeleteOh yes. I needed this reminder!
ReplyDeleteLove your motivation Mondays! Great way to start the week. We all fall off the wagon at some time, the main thing is if we get back up and try again! Keep trying, dont give up!
