Monday Motivation

First let me begin by thanking you all so sincerely!  Your kindness and support never ceases to move me!  Thank you!  Now for your weekly kick in the pants!!

I saw this on Facebook the other day and thought it was perfect!  How many of you have set a goal, a huge goal....lose 100lbs, run 50 miles, run a 5k, become a personal trainer, completely change your lifestyle, compete in a fitness competition...only to have your friends or family look at you like "Huh?"  Their words say, "That's great!" but inside you know the challenge flag has been thrown.  You need to prove to them you are made to do this and you will rock it!!!  Believe in yourself and what amazing things you can do if you put your mind to it!!!  It's out there waiting for you.....
What will you convince people you can do?
I'm sure Ashton Eaton had doubters when he said he was going to be the world's best athlete one day.....

  3. Nice motivation.

For me, running my first 5k was 0% about proving to others, and 100% about proving to MYSELF. Our own doubts and FEARS can also be motiving!

  4. You doubt me? Just wait and see :)

    Happy Monday Nancy!

  5. I actually mentioned something like this in a post I wrote last week after my first 10-mile run. My mom thought I would get disappointed and quit when I was training for my first 5k. Now I'm 4 weeks away from my first half. It's been AMAZING to believe in myself and watch how many people follow suit. So I personally LOVE this post. <3

  7. Great post, Nancy! I think a lot of us have family and friends that don't really get it... but the online community helps a lot!
