How will you prove yourself wrong? What are you starting or in the middle of working towards?

Monday Motivation
So many people shy away from reaching a goal or dream because of the immense journey in front of them. Working as an ambassador for ZOOMA, naturally the conversation turns to..."Oh I don't think I could ever run that far!". Well neither did I until I did! I never thought I could cover 26.2 miles until I did. I never thought I could run 13.1 in under 2 hours until I did. I never thought I could run over 5000 miles in 3 years until I did. You NEVER know what you can do until you put in the work and DO it! Prove yourself wrong! You don't have to be a marathoner on day one of training. You don't need to be the fastest out there on day one....you just have to make a choice to start!

It's not that long ago when I thought I could never run 50 miles. I'm in week 5 of working toward that now!

ReplyDeleteone foot in front of the other.. it begins with a simple step. yes
ReplyDeleteI never thought I'd be a runner. I hated it growing up. But here I am, about to train for my first half, and I'm in LOVE with the sport.
ReplyDeleteDefinitely. It's amazing what we can achieve if we believe we can and go after it!
ReplyDeleteI am hoping to BQ and run the Boston Marathon! I am slowly shaving minutes off of my marathon time hoping to make it there sometime in the future! Have a great week!
ReplyDeleteYou are getting there!!! I'm sure I will be watching you fly down Boylston soon!!
DeleteI never thought I would be able to run a marathon either until I finally crossed that finish line. Someday I hope to do it again.
ReplyDeleteI think that this is one of my favorite quotes because it's so true - you have to start somewhere and just keep putting one foot in front of the other.
ReplyDeleteDefinitely one of my favorite quotes! I never thought I'd run a half marathon..and now I'm training for #8, 9 and maybe 10 this fall :)
ReplyDeleteLove this. Small goals really add up to big goals before we know it!
ReplyDeleteI'm finally getting back into running more consistently. With my break from racing, it is far too easy to enjoy the rest days. Back to building my base and going further!
ReplyDeleteWell said Nancy! I never thought I'd run a half marathon or a full until I did. I remember when a mile or a 5K seemed so far!
