I'm sure I've used this quote before...I mean really how can you not continue to remind yourself of this!? I know this past week I took an unexpected leave...decided that time with my chickies came #1 and so the blog stopped! Lately I have been frustrated with my progress...mostly weight...but while I was out on my long run on Saturday I was reminded that I HAVE made progress and I just need to continue to look ahead! I chose a route I haven't run since this winter and it wasn't until I was about 3/4 of the way through that I realized that I was totally owning this route...a very hilly, challenging route which used to own me. I got to my house energized instead of beaten like I used to in the winter. I have made progress and this run helped me to see that...now I just need to keep my eyes on the prize ahead of me and make the best choices I can each day!!

DeleteGreat quote. I had a similar run this weekend. The pace on my long run was much faster than all recent treadmill runs. I realized I'm faster and stronger than I thought I am at 4 months postpartum.

DeleteI like to look at my stats from a few years ago or last year or whatever. They make me realize where I have excelled and what I need to work on! It's a good wake up call! Thanks for the motivation!
