"Finish what you've started!"
This year as I look at the long road ahead back to 8 min/mile paces and 21 minute 5ks...back to skinny jeans and being comfortable in my own skin, I decided to choose one word...a word to repeat over and over when quitting sounds not only reasonable but a fantastic idea...a word to let me know I am not yet there but I will be...to remind me that there will be more of those moments of clarity and joy during long runs...that I will get there....my word for 2013 is...
What's your word for 2013?
Mine is BALANCE! Good luck to you!
ReplyDeleteAdventure! You can do it!
ReplyDeleteI don't have a word yet! I have sort of an idea of what I want but the exact word hasn't come to me yet. Love yours and look forward to following your journey back from baby body.
ReplyDeleteI love this! I need to start thinking of a word.
ReplyDeleteI like "finish what you started" but I generally repeat to myself "do this for those who can't"
ReplyDeleteLove that!
DeleteFOREWARD!!!
ReplyDeletethats my word.
Im gonna do it :-)
Love this post- I realized when I was running with fast chicks on Saturday that I need to stop being nostalgic about those paces and to just start working for it.
ReplyDeleteFor me it will be- STRONG! Being a working mom and training for Boston, I need to be strong in all areas of my life.
I love determined. Such a great one to draw on throughout the year. I have no doubt you're going to have a great one!
ReplyDeletethis is what my 2012 lacked was just one simple word to focus on. This year I decided to rope it in to my goals and my 1 word is PRIORITIZE because it will keep me grounded on what i'm trying to accomplish and what doesn't fit in.
ReplyDeleteMindful!
ReplyDeleteI love the concept of having one word to relate back to throughout the year. Mine for this year is Rise!
ReplyDeleteI love your word and a great one to keep you focused. You definitely can do it. My word is Intention.
ReplyDeleteI've been thinking on this for over a month. I still can't figure it out...but I'm leaning towards GIVE. I feel like last year was about re-shaping me and maybe this year should be about giving back.
ReplyDeleteMy mantra used to be EMBRACE THE SUCK! But I don't have that much SUCK these days so I had to come up with something new. I have chosen a word I used to use in my work as my new mantra. It is the Japanese word KAIZEN, and it means Daily Improvement.
ReplyDeleteI think your word is very strong and will help you this year. Good for you!
Love it! All the best with your training!
ReplyDeleteI really love the idea of a word for the year, but I just haven't been able to come up with a good one!
ReplyDeletelove that pic! Balance!!
