Hold on tight for today's random three things!!
1. Preschool....Yesterday we went to visit a preschool that we are thinking of sending Em to. Sitting there talking with the director I kept getting chocked up...to me she will always be this little girl:
and to hear about writing letters and Christmas concerts made me realize just how fast time has gone! I know she's ready....but am I?
2. Protein Power....Many of you had questions about what type of protein I use. Right now I use Syntrax Vanilla Bean only because that is what my hubby uses. Before when I wasn't using it too often I didn't care what kind I used but now that I am using it much more I am looking for something better for me and kinder to my belly! I am looking forward to trying out Collagen Sport and Vega Sport! I will let you know my thoughts on each! What types to you all use??
3. Appreciation Day #2... I came home yesterday and it was like I was in a new house! My sister had certainly worked her magic and it was as if a huge weight had been lifted!!
Today's person is the unsung hero of my running...without this person I would not have been able to log over 2500 miles in two years....this person is my hubby!
I know I don't always show it and my first reaction to missing a run is whining, but I do appreciate all you sacrifice so that I can run crazy miles and countless races! Running may seem crazy to you but you always encourage me and find ways to allow me to be crazy with others!!! I hope I am supporting you as much as you have supported me as you get your trim and jacked hiney on that stage in April! I love you honey and you ARE appreciated!!!
Aw, preschools, how fun! They grow up so fast...mine just got her driver's permit. I can't believe my baby is old enough to drive.
ReplyDeleteHey--thanks for changing the font on your blog, it's so much easier to read.
Thanks for the feedback!! I have been noticing it was getting hard to read. How do you like the new font?
Delete...and after I posted my comment, the font went back to the fancy one, so I guess you didn't change it. Woops, hehe.
ReplyDeleteI just got my youngest registered for his last year of preschool and it got me a little choked up, too! One more year and all my kids will be in big kid school.
ReplyDeleteIt is so wonderful to have a supportive husband! It helps so much! I use a lot of exclamation points :).
Awww what a great picture of you and the hubs! I agree about their love and support.
ReplyDeleteWe put our oldest in school this year after being homeschooled and I miss him terribly...don't know how I will do when he is off to college!
I have been using the Collagen Sport protein and like how easy it mixes up. I'm not sure I can comment on any significant changes I've noticed. It doesn't bother my stomach but then again I have the gut of steel( wish it was abs of steel) I'm not really sure what changes to expect though??? How do you use your protein powders?
How cute is Em!!!! My youngest is in Kindergarten, and I still get sad when I drive past her old preschool : (
ReplyDeleteThat is the sweetest little face! I totally hear you on preschool...they have "mother's day out" programs here, just two days/week and I thought L was too young, but we started it this fall and she loves it. The first time I peeked in the window and saw all the toddlers eating lunch around the table together, i teared up too... something about that image made it sink in that she's no longer a baby!
ReplyDeleteAwww, I remember when my girls were that little. Sniff, Sniff. Time flies by! Love your appreciation to your hubby. I have always tried to show my appreciate to my bf and that is actually one of my goals this year, to keep that up. It's sooo important!
ReplyDeleteAww, Em is really cute. I just signed up my son for Kindergarten and although he has done preschool for 3 years there was something about Kindergarten that got to me. How did he get so old! So I can relate about being choked up and not being ready! I love that you took time to appreciate your husband. So sweet!
ReplyDeleteI'm so not ready! I can't comment on your blog for whatever reason but I want you to know that I am reading!!! Schools will be hiring again soon....if not come on this way. I'll see what I can do!
DeleteOh preschool...such a big step and so cute. I'm getting ready for my last year of preschool...my youngest son has one more year! Crazy how time flies.
ReplyDeleteaw! so sweet to your hubs and to little Em. :) hang in there with the pre-school. i'm sure you'll be sad at first but she's going to love it!
ReplyDeleteIt's definitely hard to manage kids, work, family AND a running schedule. I think most of us can relate...my theory is the kids are only kids once...but we can always run. Appreciate the time while you have it! <3
ReplyDeleteI just got Soren signed up for preschool last week. I got sort of choked up too. While I know exactly what I will do when my kiddos are both in school (hello IM training), it is still sad to think that they are growing up!
ReplyDeleteI drink whey protein isolate protein drinks - pre-made from Costco and from GNC... but lately I have been loving my newest drink from Visalus - seriously tastes like cake mix!!! So, in the morning I put one of my chocolate "100% Whey" pre-made drinks I get at Costco in the blender with 2 scoops of VIsalus and 2 frozen strawberries... YUM! Keeps me full for hours!
