Monday Motivation

Doubt from time to time (more often than I would like it to) creeps into the corners of my mind and whispers to me when I run......will I be able to finish this 20 miler, will I have the strength to be the runner I want to be, do I have the willpower to be strong?  After finishing my run this weekend, these things crept into my mind but this morning I am telling them to take a hike!  Don't let doubt steal your dreams from you!!!  Whether it is starting off your journey to change your life or pushing yourself past limits you have put up for yourself, DO NOT let doubt steal it from you!  You CAN and WILL get there!
What is doubt keeping you from this week?  Post it, leave it here....then GO!!!

Don't forget to enter my Centrum ProNutrients giveaway!  Deadline is Wednesday!

  1. Love the pic & slogan. I'm constantly telling my doubt to "shut it" because I can and I will do whatever I set myself to doing, it is an on going battle but on eI am not going to let win.

  2. Oh doubt...it's a powerful little bugger isn't it. When I was training for my marathon and was on my long runs, the last few miles were the toughest. I had a go to word to keep me going, I had to get out all bad thoughts and just focus on my word..."embrace the pain" is what I usually would focus on. I couldn't believe how much it helped.

Looking forward to following your blog. Thanks for your comments on my blog.

  3. Oh and those Lucy pants are awesome. They are perfect for cooler mornings. You should for sure check them out. They aren't too warm, just a little thicker than my Nike tights which is nice. I feel a little more covered up in them.

  5. Indeed! Sometimes I think about how I want to remember a particular run. Is it one where I'm ok giving up (like because of a injury or just one of those days) or is it one where I'll kick myself later (because I'm just in my head).

  6. Doubt and training goes hand in hand. I usually perform my poorest when I am over confident! Sure is lovely after a great run to tell doubt to take a hike!

  7. That's they way to get it done! B/c I am just coming back from injury, doubt tends to play a bigger role than normal with me. But every run makes me stronger, so I just draw on that.

  9. Hi Nancy!
I just wanted to say thank you for this post. You might not "know" it, but it's so helped me.
    Such a good reflection too!

  10. I am always doubting that I can be faster. I am doubting how much more I can push myself. I will never know if I don't try!

  11. Great post! I actually had some doubts today with my speed intervals. I hardly do them (even though I should) and I think the reason is that I'm scared of fainting or feeling really sick. I actually finished the speed intervals today but I know I didn't give everything. That is definitely something I have to work on!
