  1. Good for you! I gave up diet soda & facebook (random combination I know...). So far, I am a little edgy ;)

  3. I always give up chocolate. Usually a guy at work brings me in a great big candy bar right before Ash Wednesday to help me get it out of my system. I didn't get one this year and had to settle for a Cliff Bar instead. LOL

  5. Awesome job! I am going to have my family give up negativity and make a pointed effort to tell each member in the family, each day, something you appreciate. It will be part of our dinner routine. I can't take full credit because my darling daughter's preschool helped spur the idea with their newsletter that for kids their age giving up may create dread and resistance and that there may be a better way to generate the idea of love this time of year. And for the adults in my family, we will be giving up hard feelings, resentment, etc. :)

  10. Yaaay for no junk! I'm giving up Twitter & Facebook - could also be lumped into the junk category. A little is okay but a lot is too much!

  11. Good luck Nancy. I bet you won't want junk food after this. And I'm betting you will be surprised by how good you feel without junk food.

  12. Awesome thing to give up- last year was all dairy for me--- never felt better. This year I went with no bacon (sad i know that i like it THAT much i need to give it up) as well as sweets (fruit and protein bars excluded)

depending on how strict you want to be with yourself- technically in lent sundays don't count... so there is always that if you're feeling weak at times :) good luck
