What I Ate Wednesday...Salad...the Forbidden Fruit

Today's salad...with chicken, cheese and almonds

I love salads....seriously I crave salads, but eating salads for me is like playing Russian Roulette.  Many years ago I used to have a huge salad every. single. day for lunch.  I began to notice how I was feeling after I ate it...bloated, crampy, and just yucky.  After many tests to rule out what my father suffers with, I was diagnosed with IBS or what I would like to call a cranky belly.  They didn't say that I can't eat salads but I know from experience that I have to really limit it.  Just like Russian Roulette, if I eat too many it will come back to hurt me...bad!  So today I caved to my cravings and a salad it is!!  I'm seriously excited!!!

    1. It's the whole raw veggies thing. Too many too many days in a row equals danger!!

  4. Bummer about the IBS. That would seriously make me mad. I guess you could cook some of the items that you put on the salad. Would that help?

  5. okay. seriously. this post came at a good time for me. i suddenly have the most upset stomach. i usually crave veggies ALL the time and suddenly this week I have been scared to eat them!?! its the weirdest thing but i think its because i drastically increased my celery intake (new obsession) and it has led to upset stomach. i have the crampy bloated blah feeling. its crazy.

anyway...your salad looks super delicious!!! glad you gave into your craving :) i have been craving a salad all day and wanted to make one for dinner but have been nervous with my stomach acting up :/
