Fitness Friday.....Setting Goals

I wish.....
  • I could lose 10lbs
  • I could get my dream job
  • I could have more time
  • I could finish projects
  • I could travel more
  • I could see my family
  • I could run_______(Fill in distance)
  • I could reach my time goal
We all have things we wish for....things we would love to be able to do....things we secretly or not so secretly want.  They are different for everyone (sometimes) but the way that we get there is the same....for us all!
Make a plan and carry it out!

Throughout my pregnancy, my goal for running each month is to maintain at least 100 miles.  This is a goal of mine....aka a wish with a plan!  May clocked in at 123.2 miles and I couldn't be more excited....excited to have gone past the 100 mile goal.
Here are a few of my goals for June:
  • Run 100 miles
  • Strength train 3x per week (at least)
  • Complete the Another Mother Runner Challenge
  • Complete the Green Smoothie Challenge
  • Read 2 books (with mostly repeats on I really need to do this now!)
  • Complete 1/2 of Emma's baby book (yes you read that correctly....her baby book!! She's 3)
  • Declutter and pack (we are moving....that requires a whole post of its own!!)
These will all be accomplished with a PLAN!  The Another Mother Runner Challenge has me planning my fitness....on a calendar like every good type A person!!  Tonight I am sitting down to plan the rest.
What are your goals for this month?
PLAN THEM OUT!!!

  1. wow 100 miles a month while pregnant, you are crazy :)! I would love to do that in the future but I know how quickly a perfect pregnancy can result in blood clots for me so I cant. I was active with Avery because I had not idea I had an issue and really I guess I didnt know with Ashlyn until the clot happened but with Eisley I was bedrest so much. If I have another I want a happy medium but I will probably be too nervous!

  2. Hi Nancy! I am stopping by from Fitness Friday... My post this week is all about setting goals too! I couldn't agree more about goals. One of my goals this month is to lose the last 10 pounds, by food journaling and increasing workouts. 6 days a week, a couple hours a day. I have hit a little plateau, but I am pushing through! Blessings ~

  4. I noticed your May miles and thought that it was great that you are keeping it up! I totally agree with that quote and have to admit that it's great to wish, but I sometimes get annoyed at people who see what I have done (with a plan!) and wish they had done it/had it as well! My advice to them: get it! You can have it too!

  8. Great goals!

I have a challenge going too and each week we are to do something different. Some of my goals for each week in June will be to limit dessert, food journal, daily workouts and I have a few more.

I need to declutter too...BIG TIME!

  10. I have been working on my June goals too and have committed to a workout of some kind every day in June... making up a schedule each week.

Nice going on setting your goals for the month, too. Great post.

  11. You've got so many great goals!! For me this month, my goal is to simply MAKE IT THROUGH. I've got a crazy schedule for June, involving lots of back and forth and living out of a suitcase, tons of grad-school work to do, and then 99% chance MOVING at the end. Yikes! If I can fit in ANY running, I'll be happy. And to continue eating healthy and spending little as possible in the crazyness. Wish me luck :P
