Monday Motivation

Guess what week it is????  Oh yeah it's RAGNAR CAPE COD week!!!  On Friday I will be joining 11 others in 12 passenger vans and we are going to run through the night and day from Hull to Provincetown, Massachusetts!!!  As excited as I am, I am also acutely aware that this is WAY outside my comfort zone!!!  My comfort zone is you train...you show up race morning...you run...done.  Sleeping in vans and waking up at strange hours to run...not sleeping in my bed...running over a bridge in the dark...yeah all outside my comfort zone.  Knowing this though I am certain that this will be where the magic happens...or at least a lot of laughs!  The type-A me is trying to wade through details but the runner in me is psyched!
Have you ever tried something that scares you a whole lot but makes you excited all at the same time?

  2. The first time I did a relay I was terrified, I was traveling with a lot of strangers, but it ended up being the time of my life and I am so in love with relays now.

  6. Definitely outside my comfort range too. I'm a little nervous about the 2am run. Are you the lucky one to run over the bridge??? I'm so sorry!!! I don't do well without sleep at all.

  10. I haven't done a relay yet. My husband said he would hate to be with me in the van at 10pm (since that is way past my bedtime). He is so right! I would have to do it with strangers so I didn't lose any friends.
But, that being said, almost everyone I know says relays are amazing experiences. I know yours will be too!
