Monday Motivation

I'm sure I've used this quote before...I mean really how can you not continue to remind yourself of this!?  I know this past week I took an unexpected leave...decided that time with my chickies came #1 and so the blog stopped!  Lately I have been frustrated with my progress...mostly weight...but while I was out on my long run on Saturday I was reminded that I HAVE made progress and I just need to continue to look ahead!  I chose a route I haven't run since this winter and it wasn't until I was about 3/4 of the way through that I realized that I was totally owning this route...a very hilly, challenging route which used to own me.  I got to my house energized instead of beaten like I used to in the winter.  I have made progress and this run helped me to see that...now I just need to keep my eyes on the prize ahead of me and make the best choices I can each day!!
What reminds you of the progress you've made?  Does it sneak up on you?
How are you going to OWN this week?!

  5. Old pictures and blog posts help remind me of the ups and downs I've been through. Sometimes reminders of the past struggles are important, we learn from them in so many ways.

  6. Your timing could not have been better! Slowly but surely coming back post-injury! Slower than I would like but at least I'm coming back :) #nevergiveup

  7. Great quote. I had a similar run this weekend. The pace on my long run was much faster than all recent treadmill runs. I realized I'm faster and stronger than I thought I am at 4 months postpartum.

  8. I like to look at my stats from a few years ago or last year or whatever. They make me realize where I have excelled and what I need to work on! It's a good wake up call! Thanks for the motivation!
