Monday Motivation

When talking with friends, the most common excuse for not working out is that they don't have time for it.  I'm the first one to understand that life is busy.  Yes I have summer's off but I also have a second job...and two young children...and a house, family, and you name it.  There are always things we can use to fill our time.  For me it is important to get in my workouts...not just to be ready come race day but to just be ready for the day.  Taking that 4% of my day to sweat it all out is important to me (not to mention safer for my family!).  When you think of it 4% is not really that much time...get out the door...get outside...bring the kids with you if you have to...just get moving!  Set healthy living as a priority and the rest will all fall into place...and so will the laundry!!!

How do you spend your 4%?

  1. I always try to find time to sweat it out too- and if I can't be alone I include my kiddos in the activity! Definitely a happier mom when I get to workout :)

  2. Missing is workout for no good reason is a big no no for me since I feel horrible about it for the remainder of the day!

  3. I agree- if it's a priority, you'll find a way!

  4. I agree it is a matter of setting your priorities, and if you have to include the kids, set the example and show them.

  5. If it's important to you, you will make the time. That 4% is a priority and, sure, sometimes it's a struggle to find the time but I don't let that stop me.

  6. oh so true! It's so easy to use the "no time" excuse though. I'm the first one to admit.
