FItness Friday...Mantras

The past few years I have been coming up with a word or phrase that I use throughout the year to motivate me when the chips are down and things get hard.  In 2012 it was "Finish what you started"...considering I found out I was pregnant just 1 week before my 20 miler I would say that was a good one!  Last year it was "Determined"...determined to get me back in any way possible!  This year as I look ahead to my big plans and goals my phrase is more about convincing myself that greatness is within me...that my strong is deep down and it is time to let it shine!
This year I am believing that I have greatness ahead...fast times and lots of miles...I'm believing that I can put in the work...I'm believing that there is greatness inside....Time for it to come out in 2014!!!

Do you have a word/phrase?  Share away!!

  3. I have a bracelet that says BELIEVE. I love to wear it while I run. I'll look down at it when I'm struggling through a hill or trying to make my speed pace. It's a reminder to BELIEVE in yourself. Great word!

  8. I love it! My word for the year usually just hits me but so far for 2014. I'm tempted to borrow yours. If I learned nothing else last year it was that I had to believe there was greatness in me!

I've had believe as my one word for the year in the past. Maybe I need it again.

  10. I went and saw the Disney movie Frozen last weekend and the main song, Let it Go, really struck me. So my mantra for 2014 is to Let It Go. There are so many things I can't change and I need to focus on the things I can
