Jam it Out! 5 Favorite Workout Songs

Happy August....the month where I begin to get sad about going back to work in another month!  No really though this is going to be a great month!!  As I posted yesterday, I'm taking part in Janice's August Blogger Challenge and today's fabulous topic is "Your Top 5 Workout Songs".  Now this is a touchy topic for me since my ipod playlist makes me look a little schizophrenic...like a folk singer who really wants to be Pitbull!  My playlists usually start off with slower music in order to keep me at a steady pace...then its on like Donkey Kong!  So without further adieu....here are my top 5...for this month at least!
1.  "Strong Enough" by Mathew West....This is the style of my first song usually for a long run or long race....helps me to start with the mindset of who is really in control!

2.  "The Champ" by Nelly...Oh yeah I'm the champ!

3.  "Hello Good Morning" by Diddy....It's like Diddy is saying good morning to me!  Sometimes I answer!

4.  "Crazy" by Pitbull....ok who am I kidding...it's more like ANYTHING by him!!

5.  "Ni**as in Paris" by Kanye West and Jay-Z....if you tell my students that this is on the list I am going to deny it completely!

My playlists are also known to include a number of Glee numbers as well as some power girl anthems mixed in there too!  I told you....it's random!
Now it's your turn.....
What are your top 5 workout songs??

  4. You SO have me beat on the coolness factor! As in--I'm not even sure who all of those artists are! (I know, hang my old head in shame!) Not even gonna pretend I have anything to offer up!

  5. LMAO I feel so old, I don't think that I know any of those! I don't really listen to music when I work out. It gets on my nerves after a while. Geez, that totally makes me sound old doesn't it?! :oP

  8. Glee sounds like a soundtrack I could run with for sure! I usually listen to audiobooks when I run, so I don't have a great list of top songs to contribute. :)

  9. Looks like I need to add some new songs to my playlist! My lists are very random, too, and the favorites change frequently. Tik Tok by Ke$ha, Lose Yourself by Eminem, Fighter by Christina Aguilera, The Fighter by Gym Class Heroes, Stronger by Kelly Clarkson

  11. Oh boy, I am in the old category.. I don't know these artists either, but may recognize the song if I hear it. Bawhaha! I sound ancient. ugh! I don't listen to music when I run. I have tried but I must be ADD because it is very distracting.

  12. Good list; I haven't heard a couple of them... I usually listen to podcasts and audio books when I run, but when I do listen to music, it's a strange mix of Eminem, Kings of Leon and older stuff (Pearl Jam, Beatles...you name it!)

  13. Not Afraid by Eminiem and Party Rock LMAO and Crazy Bitch by Buckcherry. But a huge variety in my playlist. Hip hop, pop and even some BOb Dylan! Whatever keeps me going!
